6x6 expanding to 8x8
Pirots 5 drops you on a world map and lets you pick the Cursed Temple, The Kraken or the City of Gold. Underneath sits a 6x6 grid that stretches to 8x8, a 10,000x ceiling on a single round and five X-iter prices that change the tempo instead of the maths.

Three numbers decide whether this slot fits your evening: what it pays back, how often it pays at all, and how far a single round can go.
Pirots 5 is the sixth game in ELK Studios’ bird franchise and the first one that asks you a question before it shows you a reel: which world do you want? The map that opens on entry holds the Cursed Temple, The Kraken and the City of Gold, and all three run under the same game id, 10266, released on 23 July 2026. The demo above is the studio’s own launcher, so you can settle the question in about thirty seconds.
Payback runs up to 96.0% depending on the casino and the market. A win lands on 25.1% of spins by the product sheet and 26.11% in the configuration the demo runs, so roughly one spin in four gives you something back. Volatility is rated 7 of 10, and a single round is capped at 10,000x the bet. Behind that cap sits a hard exposure ceiling of 1,000,000 EUR, which is exactly what 10,000x comes to at the 100 EUR top stake: the two limits meet there and nowhere else on the ladder.
Those three figures are worth more as decisions than as trivia:
| Figure | What it means across a session | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Payback up to 96.0% | The same reels pay differently by lobby; the spread between configurations is worth more than any bet-sizing trick | Check the game’s rules panel in the casino you open before you settle in |
| 25.1% / 26.11% hit frequency | About one spin in four pays, and most of those are small collections rather than events | Size the stake for volume, not for one spin |
| 10,000x round cap | 2,000 EUR at the 0.20 EUR minimum, 10,000 EUR at a 1.00 EUR stake, 1,000,000 EUR at the 100 EUR maximum | Treat it as the shape of the top end, not as tonight’s plan |
| Volatility 7 of 10 | Long flat stretches, then a bonus that carries the whole evening | Keep the stake small enough to still be there when it lands |
| Bet 0.20-100 EUR, 12 levels | Twelve steps, and every price in the game is a multiple of whichever one you pick | Choose the step first, then read every X-iter price off it |

The world map is not a skin selector. Each world brings its own set of ten feature symbols, its own corner feature with a fight in it, its own coin game and its own hazard on the rim of the grid. Three tokens hide in each, and the nine of them together are the key to the fourth world.
The starting world, and the one the demo opens on. Its corner feature is the catacombs, where a bird takes on a mummy; win all four fights and a coin is added to every coffin position on the grid. The rim carries arrow shooters that fire the moment the birds run out of things to collect, knocking a bird out and turning its gems over to another bird’s colour. The temple’s coin game is the one triggered when the secret door clears the grid entirely.
The sea chapter swaps the golden compass cannon into the feature set and trades arrows for harpoon shooters on the outer rim. Its corner feature is the captain’s quarters, with a land-crab fight, and the coin game runs on three drops that reset whenever a landing symbol appears: a structure that keeps extending itself rather than counting down.
The richest of the three on the surface. Its feature symbol is the golden book, its corner feature is the treasure chamber with a shaman fight, and its coin game plays on the full 8x8 grid with three drops, where the Mastermind expands to cover up to 5x5 of the board on its own.
Collect three tokens in each world and Boss Castle opens for good. It is built against type: three reels, one row and a single payline, with its own bonus game, sitting above a 6x6 collection slot. A token also pays as it is collected, at the same value as a 5x coin, so working towards the castle is never a detour from the main game. The features page takes each world apart symbol by symbol.
Four birds, one grid, no fixed lines. Wins come from what the birds pick up rather than from a shape that has to land on named reels, which is why the count of ways changes with every collection. The four steps in the panel above cover a complete round; the how to play page adds the control row, the auto-spin counts of 10, 25, 50 and 100 rounds, and the reality-check reminder you can set at 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
Two things shape how big a collection gets. The first is gem level: each of the four gem colours climbs through seven payout levels, and the distance between the bottom and the top is enormous. Red gems pay 10 coins at level 1 and 2,500 at level 7; the premium group starts at 15 and finishes at 3,000. With 100 coins to a bet, that top red gem is worth 25x your stake on its own, and the premium group 30x. The second is grid size: the board starts at 6x6 and stretches to 8x8, which means more room for the birds to keep walking before the collection stops.
Around those two levers sit the features that keep a walk alive. Captain Blackfeather turns up to four birds into ghosts and converts their gems into Blackfeather gems that climb as high as payout level 7, persists between bonus drops and is guaranteed to win catacomb fights. The secret door rotates the entire grid, moving symbols and birds with it, while cross-over floor tiles let a bird walk back over positions it already cleared. Portals appear among the walls, four at most at a time, and teleport a bird elsewhere, with connected walls acting as tunnels that can reveal feature symbols on the way. Wilds substitute for any gem at its current payout level; transform turns a cluster into the collecting bird’s colour and super transform does it to two or three clusters at once, and both can turn gems into feature symbols instead.
Three bonus symbols collected by the birds open the bonus game, which runs on bonus drops. What makes it worth building towards is what carries over: grid size, collection-meter progress and the payout level your gems reached all come with you, and up to ten bonus features can travel in alongside them: the bandit, the alien invasion, the yeti, fire minions, Charlie, cursed treasure, the golden compass cannon, the Kraken itself, the golden book and the Mastermind. The round runs until the hearts are gone or the maximum win is reached. If one of the three symbols is a super bonus symbol, the super bonus game opens instead.
X-iter is the other door in. Five prices, bought in the base game, each with a stated effect:
| X-iter mode | Price | At 0.20 EUR | At 1.00 EUR | At 10 EUR | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bonus Hunt | 3x the bet | 0.60 EUR | 3 EUR | 30 EUR | More than 4x the chance of the bonus in the Cursed Temple, 5x in the other worlds |
| Mega Hunt | 10x the bet | 2 EUR | 10 EUR | 100 EUR | More than 10x or 20x that same chance |
| World coin game | 50x the bet | 10 EUR | 50 EUR | 500 EUR | Guaranteed entry to that world’s coin game |
| Bonus | 100x the bet | 20 EUR | 100 EUR | 1,000 EUR | The bonus game, guaranteed |
| Super Bonus | 250x the bet | 50 EUR | 250 EUR | 2,500 EUR | The super bonus game, guaranteed |
Across the whole bet ladder the prices span 0.60 to 25,000 EUR. The line that matters more than any of them: the theoretical payback of every X-iter mode equals the payback of the game. A purchase buys you the tempo: the bonus now instead of later, and not a better edge. That is a cleaner deal than most buy features offer, and it is also the reason a 250x press deserves the same arithmetic as 250 base spins would: it is a price, spent in one go.

Volatility of 7 of 10 shows up in the shape of the evening rather than in any one spin. You get long flat stretches where the birds collect small clusters and the meter creeps, then a feature release that lands three queued symbols at once and rewrites the grid. Roughly a quarter of spins pay something back: 25.1% by the product sheet, 26.11% in the demo configuration. Gems arrive on the board at level 1, so a collection taken before any upgrade lands pays at the bottom of its ladder, which is exactly why the upgrade symbols are the ones to watch. A red gem at level 1 pays 10 coins, a tenth of your bet. The same gem at level 7 pays 2,500 coins, or 25x, and the climb between them is what a session is really doing.
Payback deserves the same care. Up to 96.0% is the top of a published range, and operators serve the game on a set of configurations, so the identical reels can sit at a materially different number in two different lobbies. On 100 spins at 1.00 EUR the gap between the top configuration and a lower one is real money, and it costs nothing to check: the rules panel inside the game states the figure. The RTP page has the full ladder and the arithmetic, and strategy turns it into stake sizing.
The whole pot sits inside the game itself: the collection, the bonus games and the 10,000x ceiling. The path to that ceiling runs through upgraded gems, a grid grown to 8x8 and the features that travel into the bonus. No side bet and no progressive counter divert any part of it.

Same game, different configuration. ELKAB Studios AB holds a British gambling software licence and a game host licence for remote casino, plus the Maltese B2B licence MGA/B2B/605/2018 and Romanian class II licences, which is why casinos holding a GB licence publish their own Pirots 5 game pages and why the game is live at Swedish licensed operators, one of which serves it at a 94% configuration.

What changes from lobby to lobby is the configuration behind the reels and the welcome offer in front of them. Pick the casino on those two things, in that order. The buttons in the block above open a partner casino where the game sits in the slots section under its own name; where to play goes through the selection in more detail, the app page covers playing it on a phone, and the review is the verdict with the reasoning attached. If you would rather stay on play credits a while longer, the demo at the top of this page is open for as long as you want it.
